About the Program

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is a major midstream oil development spanning Uganda and Tanzania. It includes a nearshore Marine Storage and Export Terminal (MST). Once completed, the 1,443 km insulated pipeline will transport crude oil from Kabaale (Hoima, Uganda) to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania for export to international markets.

Program Objective

The EACOP Internship Program aims to develop young talent by offering practical experience and industry exposure. It supports local capacity building by equipping students with technical and professional skills, contributing to sustainable socio-economic development in the region.

Internship Duration

  • Start Date: 1 July 2026
  • End Date: 30 September 2026

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled in a university program
  • Provide a university introduction letter and valid student ID
  • Have academic performance equivalent to at least an upper second class
  • Be available full-time during the internship period
  • Possess strong communication, numeracy, and problem-solving skills
  • Submit a well-written application letter

Note:

  • Only university students are eligible
  • Selection is strictly merit-based

1. Corporate Affairs (1 Position)

  • Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field

2. Legal & Compliance (1 Position)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or Master’s in Law

3. Local Content (1 Position)

  • Law, Community Development, or related field (Excel/data skills required)

4. Finance (1 Position)

  • Finance, Accounting, or related field

5. Projects – Project Controls (1 Position)

  • Public Administration or Human Resource Management

6. HSE – Environment (1 Position)

  • Environmental Management, Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Must be fluent in English

7. Field Operations Logistics – FOPS (1 Position)

  • Supply Chain, Logistics, Customs, or Warehouse Management

8. Social & Economic Investment (1 Position)

  • Business Administration, Sociology, Development Studies, or Social Sciences

9. Human Resources (1 Position)

  • Human Resource Management or Business Administration

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities

Interns are required to:

  • Comply with all H3SE policies and safety rules
  • Promote a strong safety culture in the workplace
  • Stay alert to unsafe conditions and report them promptly
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment
