1.0 Medical Officer Grade II – 492 Posts
Salary Scale: TGHS E
Qualifications
-
Doctor of Medicine degree from a Government-recognized university.

Completion of Internship.

Registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Provide hospital medical services including pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and routine and emergency surgeries.
-
Deliver and supervise health education and community health improvement programs.
-
Investigate, monitor, and control disease outbreaks.
-
Maintain and utilize health statistics in accordance with MTUHA guidelines.
-
Conduct research and improve quality of healthcare services.
2.0 Biomedical Engineer II – 31 Posts
Salary Scale: TGHS D
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Registered with the Engineers Registration Board of Tanzania.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Maintenance of medical equipment at district level.
-
Keep maintenance and technical records.
-
Prepare maintenance service budgets.
3.0 Physiotherapist II – 39 Posts
Salary Scale: TGHS B
Qualifications
-
Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
-
Fully registered by the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Provide physiotherapy treatment services.
-
Collect and maintain patient records and statistics.
-
Provide community health education.
4.0 Assistant Environmental Health Officer Grade II – 172 Posts
Salary Scale: TGHS B
Qualifications
-
Diploma in Environmental Health Sciences from a recognized institution.
-
Registered with the Environmental Health Practitioners Registration Board.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Prevent and control disease outbreaks.
-
Inspect food premises and environmental sanitation.
-
Provide environmental health education to the community.
5.0 Medical Specialist – Gynaecologist II – 17 Posts
Salary Scale: TGHS G
Qualifications
-
Master’s Degree or PhD in Obstetrics and Gynecology from a recognized university.

Registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Provide specialized medical services.

Train and supervise health personnel.
-
Participate in health policy development and research activities.
6.0 Nursing Officer II – 50 Posts
Salary Scale: TGHS C
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized university.

Completion of one-year Internship.
-
Registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Provide nursing services in hospitals and communities.
-
Collect essential health statistics.
-
Deliver preventive and reproductive health services.
7.0 Assistant Nursing Officer II – 100 Posts
Salary Scale: TGHS B
Qualifications
-
Diploma in Nursing (minimum two years).

Registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.
8.0 Clinical Assistant II – 90 Posts
Salary Scale: TGHS A
Qualifications
-
Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV).
-
Two-year Clinical Assistant Certificate.
9.0 Dental Therapist Grade II – 30 Posts
Salary Scale: TGHS B
Qualifications
-
Diploma in Clinical Dentistry from a recognized institution.

Registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
10.0 Dental Surgeon Grade II – 65 Posts
Salary Scale: TGHS E
Qualifications
-
Degree in Dental Surgery from a recognized university.
-
Completion of Internship and registration with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
General Conditions

Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and not above 45 years of age.

For military institutions:

Non-degree applicants: not above 25 years.

Degree applicants: not above 30 years.
