Available Positions

---

1. Senior Mechanic (10 Positions)

Reports to: Workshop Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on technical equipment and systems

• Supervise and mentor junior technicians

• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime

• Liaise with supervisors and clients to resolve technical issues

• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records

• Ensure proper staffing and coordination of daily workflows

• Maintain strong customer relationships

• Implement and uphold SHERQ standards

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, or related field

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings

• CNC machine knowledge (added advantage)

• Strong teamwork and attention to detail

2. Junior Mechanic (5 Positions)

Reports to: Field Services Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical machinery

• Conduct inspections and troubleshooting under supervision

• Apply FES standards and procedures

• Maintain accurate work records

• Support senior technicians

• Follow health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural/Diesel Machinery Trade

• Minimum 2 years’ experience

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and in teams

3. Workshop Apprentice (5 Positions)

Reports to: Workshop Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with workshop duties (tool handling, cleaning, maintenance)

• Follow safety guidelines

• Attend and participate in training sessions

• Maintain clean workspace

Requirements:

• Tanzanian citizen aged 18–25 years

• Form IV or VI certificate (technical training is an advantage)

• Willingness to learn

• Good teamwork and communication skills

4. Tyre Fitter (4 Positions)

Reports to: Workshop Manager

Responsibilities:

• Fit and balance tyres

• Inspect and repair tyres

• Operate tyre-fitting equipment

• Maintain safe working environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in automotive role

• VETA certification (added advantage)

• Knowledge of tyre repair techniques

• Physically fit and safety-conscious

5. Auto Electrician (3 Positions)

Reports to: Workshop Manager

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems

• Install security and communication systems

• Maintain repair records

• Ensure compliance with safety standards

Requirements:

• Diploma/Certificate in Auto Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 3 years’ experience

• Valid driving license (added advantage)

• Knowledge of vehicle electronics

6. Machinist (1 Position)

Reports to: Workshop Manager

Responsibilities:

• Interpret drawings and mark materials

• Plan machining sequences

• Operate machines such as lathes

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience

• Ability to read engineering drawings

7. Workshop Administration Officer (1 Position)

Reports to: Workshop Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage job cards, timesheets, and inventory

• Maintain maintenance records

• Coordinate procurement of parts and tools

• Liaise with suppliers and departments

• Track workflow and deadlines

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 2 years’ experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Experience with workshop software (added advantage)

8. Challenger Operators (15 Positions)

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

• Operate Challenger tractors safely

• Conduct inspections and basic maintenance

• Assist in land clearing and haulage

• Complete operational logs

Requirements:

• Valid equipment certification/license

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in agriculture/mining/construction

• Physically fit and willing to work in remote areas

9. Tractor Operators (43 Positions)

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

• Operate tractors safely and efficiently

• Conduct inspections and maintenance

• Transport materials and operate attachments

• Report faults to supervisors

Requirements:

• Valid Class G driving license

• Minimum 2 years’ experience

• Basic mechanical knowledge (added advantage)

• Physically fit for remote work

10. Sugar Harvester Operators (7 Positions)

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

• Operate sugarcane harvesters

• Conduct equipment checks and maintenance

• Meet harvesting schedules

• Identify and report mechanical faults

Requirements:

• Form IV certificate minimum

• Vocational training in agricultural machinery (advantage)

• Minimum 2 years’ experience

• Ability to work long hours
