Position: Compliance Officer

Job Summary

Azam Media is seeking a qualified and experienced Compliance Officer to ensure the organization fully complies with all applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and data protection obligations. The successful candidate will oversee the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS) while ensuring adherence to all relevant legal and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve the Integrated Management Systems (IMS), including:
- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OHSMS)
- Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
Conduct risk-based assessments and audits related to QMS, OHSMS, EMS, and associated programs, and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
Ensure accurate documentation, proper record-keeping, and reporting of IMS performance, including tracking non-conformities and corrective actions across departments.
Follow up on internal and external audit findings, customer complaints, and compliance issues to ensure timely resolution and sustained adherence to standards.
Monitor the implementation of recommendations from external auditors, inspectors, and regulatory bodies, and report progress to the Compliance Manager.
Coordinate and facilitate staff training and awareness programs on compliance, occupational safety, environmental standards, and data protection requirements.
Oversee the renewal process of statutory certificates, licenses, and registrations (e.g., OSHA, TBS, Fire & Rescue, NEMC), including timely submission of required reports and regulatory documentation.
Organize and coordinate Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) committee activities to ensure effective implementation of internal safety and environmental programs.
Ensure availability, inspection, and maintenance of safety equipment and fire protection systems across all work areas.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety Sciences, Food Science, Law, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in compliance management, auditing, or risk management.
Practical experience in Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and experience working with local authorities such as TBS, OSHA, Fire and Rescue, NEMC, and Municipal Authorities.
