Jobs at Mbeya Cement Company Limited February 2026 Mbeya Cement Company Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified, motivated, and experienced professionals to fill the position of Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) Engineer at our Mbeya Plant. This is a permanent employment opportunity, reporting directly to the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Manager.
Key Responsibilities

Establish, manage, and optimize condition monitoring and predictive maintenance (CM/PdM) systems, including data collection, trending, and historical data management.

Develop inspection routes, monitor compliance, and ensure effective utilization of inspection checklists by inspectors.

Conduct first-level walk-by inspections on assigned routes and accurately record observations using approved checklists.

Collect vibration data from plant equipment, analyze readings, document results, and recommend corrective actions.

Analyze data from various condition monitoring tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and ultrasonic testing to identify equipment degradation and predict potential failures.

Work closely with the IT team to integrate monitoring tools with existing systems, identify and introduce new technologies, provide staff training, and promote a reliability-centered maintenance culture.
Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: At least four (4) years of relevant experience in the clinker and cement manufacturing industry.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies
-
Strong knowledge and practical experience in vibration analysis.

Proven skills in fan balancing and machine alignment.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Ability to read, interpret, and analyze engineering drawings.

Demonstrated competence in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting vibration data.

Ability to recommend, select, and implement improved tools for preventive and predictive maintenance.
