Job Vacancies at Same District Council February 2026
The Executive Director of Same District Council hereby invites qualified Tanzanian citizens to apply for six (06) vacant positions within the Council, following approval from the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance, as detailed below:
1.0 DRIVER GRADE II (06 POSTS)
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness and safety;
ii. Transport staff to various destinations for official duties;
iii. Carry out minor vehicle maintenance;
iv. Collect and distribute official documents;
v. Record and maintain all trip details in the vehicle logbook;
vi. Ensure cleanliness of the vehicle;
vii. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess:

A Form IV Certificate (Ordinary Level);
-
A valid Class E or C Driving Licence;
-
At least one (01) year of driving experience without causing any accident;

Relevant certificates of driving training qualifying them for the respective licence classes;

Proof of completion of a Basic Driving Course from a government-recognized training institution.
1.3 SALARY SCALE

2.0 GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged not more than 45 years;
ii. Applicants must attach a certified copy of their Birth Certificate verified by an Advocate/Lawyer;
iii. Applicants must submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with reliable contact addresses, phone numbers, and names of three (03) reputable referees;
iv. Applications must include certified copies of relevant academic and professional certificates, including:

Form IV and Form VI Certificates (where applicable);

Professional training certificates;
-
Computer certificates;
-
Academic qualifications (Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or Certificates, where applicable);
v. Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statements of Results, and Form IV & VI Results Slips will NOT be accepted;
vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, or NACTE);
vii. Applicants who were dismissed from the Public Service are not eligible unless they have written clearance from the Chief Secretary;
viii. Serving public servants in entry-level positions are not allowed to apply and must comply with Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010;
ix. Submission of forged or false information will result in legal action;
x. The deadline for submission of applications is 16th February, 2026.
