Kagera Sugar Limited has announced new employment opportunities for qualified and motivated Tanzanians to join its team in Missenyi District, Kagera Region. The company is inviting applications for the positions of Transport Officer and Electrical Motor Rewinding Technician.

1. Transport Officer (1 Post)

Missenyi District, Kagera Region

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Transport Management, Logistics, or related field
• Minimum of five years’ experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management
• Valid driving license
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing schedules
• Knowledge of vehicle safety standards and compliance requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Coordinating transport and fleet management activities
• Ensuring vehicles operate according to transport laws and regulations
• Supervising transportation logistics and vehicle maintenance
• Processing transportation requests from departments
• Scheduling vehicles and assigning drivers efficiently
• Monitoring fuel usage and vehicle performance
• Conducting vehicle inspections and maintenance follow-ups
• Managing drivers’ logbooks and transportation records
• Assisting in recruitment and assessment of drivers
• Preparing transport reports and implementing operational procedures
• Supporting the Farm Machinery and Transport Manager in assigned duties

Electrical Motor Rewinding Technician (1 Post)

Location

Missenyi, Kagera

Duties and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Perform motor rewinding up to 90 KW
• Conduct electrical machine servicing and repairs
• Maintain workshop electrical tools and materials

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a recognized institution
• At least two years of experience in motor rewinding
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
