SJUT’s Chief Mazengo Campus is located in the Kikuyu area of Dodoma, approximately 3.5 km southwest of the city centre.

The University invites applications from qualified, competent, and motivated individuals to fill the following academic and technical positions:


SCHOOL OF NURSING (SONU)

1. Assistant Lecturer (1 Post)

Reports to: Dean, School of Nursing
Duty Station: SJUT Chief Mazengo Campus – Dodoma
Contract: Four (4) years fixed-term, renewable upon satisfactory performance
Salary: According to SJUT Scheme of Service

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 (Undergraduate) and 4.0 (Master’s) on a 5-point scale

  • Registered by TNMC

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct undergraduate lectures, tutorials, and seminars

  • Prepare teaching materials and case studies

  • Assist in research and consultancy projects

  • Support supervision of student projects

  • Mark and grade examinations and assignments

  • Participate in curriculum development

  • Attend academic workshops and faculty training

  • Promote excellence in departmental services

  • Perform other duties as assigned


2. Tutorial Assistant – Medical Laboratory Technology (2 Posts)

Reports to: Dean, School of Nursing
Duty Station: SJUT Chief Mazengo Campus – Dodoma
Contract: Four (4) years fixed-term, renewable
Salary: According to SJUT Scheme of Service

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences OR
    Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences and Technology

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 (Undergraduate)

  • Registered by relevant authorities (e.g., MeLSAT)

  • Experience in tertiary institutions is an added advantage

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior academic staff in lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions

  • Support marking, grading, and invigilation under supervision

  • Participate in research, consultancy, and outreach activities

  • Contribute to curriculum development

  • Coordinate skills laboratory activities

  • Perform additional duties as assigned


3. Medical Laboratory Technician (1 Post)

Reports to: Head, Department of Medical Laboratory Technology
Duty Station: SJUT Chief Mazengo Campus – Dodoma
Contract: Four (4) years fixed-term, renewable
Salary: According to SJUT Scheme of Service

Qualifications

  • Ordinary Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology OR
    Ordinary Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (Undergraduate level)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support laboratory practicals and student projects

  • Assist in laboratory research and consultancy services

  • Maintain and repair laboratory facilities

  • Support senior staff in laboratory operations

  • Perform other assigned duties


FACULTY OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCES (FaNAS)

4. Laboratory Technician – Chemistry (1 Post)

Reports to: Dean, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences
Duty Station: SJUT Chief Mazengo Campus – Dodoma
Contract: Four (4) years fixed-term, renewable
Salary: According to SJUT Scheme of Service

Qualifications

  • Ordinary Diploma in Laboratory Technology OR
    Ordinary Diploma in Laboratory Sciences

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Key Responsibilities

  • Support laboratory practicals and student projects

  • Assist in research and consultancy laboratory activities

  • Maintain and repair laboratory equipment and facilities

  • Support academic staff in laboratory operations

  • Perform other assigned duties
