Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies (FOCB)

Assistant Lecturer – 6 Posts

Reports to: Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies (FOCB)
Duty Station: SJUT Chief Mazengo Campus, Dodoma

Job Summary
Under the guidance of senior staff, successful candidates will conduct teaching, research, consultancy, and other public service activities.

A. Assistant Lecturer (Accounting and Finance) – 3 Posts

Qualifications
Applicants must possess:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Accounting, or Accounting and Finance.
  • Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in Accounting, or Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s degree level.
  • Minimum GPA of 4.0 at Master’s degree level.

B. Assistant Lecturer (Health Services Management) – 3 Posts

Qualifications
Applicants must possess:

  • Master of Health Services Management, Master of Science in Public Health, Master of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Master of Science in Health Systems Management, or related qualifications.
  • Bachelor of Health Services Management, Bachelor of Health Systems Management, or a related business degree.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s degree level.
  • Minimum GPA of 4.0 at Master’s degree level.

Lecturer (Human Resource Management) – 1 Post (Re-advertised)

Job Summary

Qualifications

  • PhD in Human Resource Management.
  • Master of Science or MBA specializing in Human Resource Management.
  • Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in Human Resource Management.

Experience

Job Summary
Support teaching, research, consultancy, and public service activities under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5.
  • Registration with the Pharmacy Council will be an added advantage.

Estates Department

Estates Officer I – 1 Post

Reports to: Deputy Vice Chancellor (Planning, Finance and Administration)
Duty Station: SJUT Chief Mazengo Campus, Dodoma

Job Summary
Support the University in estate development and management activities.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in:

  • Environmental Engineering,
  • Architecture,
  • Building Economics,
  • Civil Engineering, or
  • Land Management and Valuation.

Preference will be given to candidates who:

  • Are registered professionals with relevant boards.
  • Have extensive knowledge of university systems.
  • Have management experience in higher learning institutions.
  • Have experience coordinating estate development resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance and cleaning of campus grounds and drainage systems.
  • Supervise security, plumbing, and electrical maintenance activities.
  • Prepare maintenance budgets and work schedules.
  • Participate in planning campus landscaping and drainage improvement programs.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.

Salary Scale
According to SJUT Scheme of Service.

Tenure
Four-year renewable fixed-term contract based on satisfactory performance.


University Dispensary

Nurse II – 1 Post

Reports to: Doctor-in-Charge
Duty Station: SJUT Chief Mazengo Campus, Dodoma

Job Summary
Provide nursing care, coordinate patient care services, educate patients and the public on health matters, and offer support to patients.

Qualifications

  • Form IV Certificate.
  • Ordinary Diploma in Nursing/Midwifery or Public Health Nursing Certificate.
  • Must be professionally registered.

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years working experience in a health centre or dispensary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general nursing care.
  • Deliver maternal and child health services.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Conduct health education on:
    • Family planning
    • Nutrition
    • Vaccination
    • Sanitation
    • Child spacing
  • Maintain accurate patient records and reports.
  • Monitor patients for medication side effects and reactions.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisors.

Salary Scale
According to SJUT Scheme of Service.

Tenure
Four-year renewable fixed-term contract based on satisfactory performance.
