KCMC University has announced new employment opportunities for qualified and committed professionals to join the institution in strengthening its administrative and financial operations. The university is inviting applications for the positions of Internal Auditor Grade III and Risk Management Officer III.
1. Internal Auditor Grade III – 1 Post
Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting and Finance, or Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from a recognized institution.
- At least one year of working experience in auditing.
- Registration and certification with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).

Main Responsibilities
The Internal Auditor will be responsible for:
- Conducting regular and surprise audits in academic and administrative departments
- Reviewing financial and operational systems
- Assessing effectiveness of internal controls
- Monitoring compliance with procurement and financial procedures
- Preparing audit reports and recommendations
- Supporting the Chief Internal Auditor in investigations and audit committee matters
- Performing other duties assigned by supervisors
2. Risk Management Officer III – 1 Post
Required Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields from a recognized institution.
- At least one year of experience in risk management.
- Certification as a Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) will be an added advantage.

- Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
- Risk assessment and mitigation skills

Main Responsibilities
The Risk Management Officer will:
- Develop and maintain the University risk management framework
- Identify and assess operational and financial risks
- Design mitigation and contingency plans
- Monitor risk indicators and compliance standards
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual risk reports
- Support crisis management and operational continuity
- Carry out additional duties assigned by supervisors
