Generator Technician Job Vacancy at Bagamoyo Sugar Limited – May 2026

Bagamoyo Sugar Limited is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the position of Generator Technician based in Bagamoyo.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Conducting daily inspections of all DG site installations, mobile generators, and tower lights (Kubotas), and reporting to the Workshop Manager.
Performing routine and periodic servicing and maintenance of all DG installations, mobile generators, and tower lights.
Carrying out preventive maintenance to ensure all DG sets and tower lights remain in good operating condition.
Troubleshooting and repairing DG sets.
Following up on AMS system job card opening and closing after completing assigned tasks.
Monitoring pending spare parts under procurement for servicing, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
Assisting workshop management with strategic stock planning for critical and preventive maintenance spare parts.
Performing any other duties assigned in line with company goals and departmental objectives.

Applicants must have:

A Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
At least 2 years of experience in a heavy plant workshop or generator maintenance.
Fluency in both English and Swahili.
