On behalf of the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA), the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) invites applications from qualified, competent, and result-oriented Tanzanians with high integrity and strong motivation to fill the following vacant positions:

1.0 ASSISTANT LECTURER (PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT) – 2 POSTS

1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To assist in conducting lectures, tutorials, seminars, practical training, and research activities under the guidance of senior staff;
  • To prepare case studies and other teaching and learning materials;
  • To collaborate with senior staff in research, consultancy, and academic projects;
  • To assist in supervising students’ research projects;
  • To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of the respective Department.

1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Holder of a Master’s Degree in Procurement Management or Supply Chain Management from a recognized higher learning institution, with a minimum GPA of 3.8;
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management (or related field) with a minimum GPA of 3.5 from a recognized institution.

1.3 SALARY SCALE

  • Attractive remuneration package in accordance with TIA Salary Scale.

    GENERAL CONDITIONS

    1. All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and should not be above 45 years of age.
      • For vacancies in Paramilitary Institutions:
        • Applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed 25 years of age.
        • Applicants for degree positions must not exceed 30 years of age.
    2. Applicants are required to apply strictly based on the information provided in this advertisement.
    3. Applicants must attach certified copies of the following documents:
      • Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates;
      • Academic transcripts (Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma);
      • Professional Registration and Training Certificates from relevant Registration or Regulatory Bodies (where applicable);
      • Birth Certificate.
    4. The following documents are not accepted:
      • Form IV and Form VI result slips;
      • Testimonials and partial transcripts.
    5. Applicants must upload a recent passport-size photograph in the Recruitment Portal.
    6. Applicants currently employed in the Public Service are not allowed to apply and must adhere to Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.
    7. Retired Public Service employees are not eligible to apply.
    8. Each applicant must provide the names and reliable contacts of three reputable referees.
    9. All foreign academic certificates must be verified and recognized by the relevant authorities such as TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET.
      • Applicants applying for positions requiring a GPA must also attach a GPA calculation certificate issued by TCU.
