Bei Mpya za Mafuta April 2026

Bei Mpya za Mafuta April 2026 PUBLIC NOTICE ON THE CAP PRICES OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS EFFECTIVE WEDNESDAY, 1ST APRIL 2026

Changes in fuel prices in the country for April 2026 have been largely influenced by the ongoing war involving the United States in collaboration with Israel against Iran, which began on 28th February 2026.

Attacks on oil wells, fuel storage facilities, and oil refineries, along with Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz—which handles approximately 20% of the oil transported to various global markets—have disrupted oil production in the Middle East, from where Tanzania imports a significant portion of its fuel. This situation has also increased transportation costs due to the shortage of cargo vessels and raised marine insurance costs as a result of the war.
