Job Purpose
The Senior Officer – Internal Audit is responsible for carrying out audit assignments including testing, evaluation, and validation of internal controls to enhance the effectiveness of risk management, governance, and internal control systems.
The role supports all phases of the audit cycle—planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up—while ensuring timely implementation of audit recommendations, management action plans, and Board directives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Support the Senior Manager – Internal Audit in defining audit objectives, scope, and methodology, and assist in preparing annual and engagement-level audit programs.

Execute internal audit assignments in line with the approved audit plan, timelines, and professional standards (IIA Standards and Internal Audit Policy).

Identify, document, and communicate audit findings, ensuring proper escalation and follow-up in line with internal procedures.

Work closely with management and process owners to agree on audit scope and validate identified risks and controls.

Assist in drafting audit reports, highlighting key findings, root causes, implications, and recommendations.

Conduct compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and control frameworks.

Participate in special assignments, investigations, and emergency reviews as required.

Conduct follow-up audits to confirm effective implementation of agreed corrective actions.

Support the Subsidiary Audit Committee by preparing reports, materials, and presentations.

Monitor internal processes, test control activities, and assess operational efficiency for continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and HR guidelines.

Perform any additional duties assigned by the Head of Internal Audit and/or the Audit Committee.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any business-related field.
-
Professional certification in accounting or auditing (CPA, ACCA, CIA) is an added advantage.
Skills, Knowledge & Competencies
-
Strong understanding of the banking industry and regulatory framework.

Excellent analytical, logical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs).

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Commercial awareness and knowledge of IFRS, IIA Standards, and corporate governance best practices.

Adaptable and willing to learn in a dynamic work environment.
Experience
-
At least 2 years of auditing experience, preferably within a financial institution or internationally recognized audit firm.

Basic Purpose
The Treasury Sales Dealer – SME Focus works closely with the bank’s branches and business units to promote, grow, and cross-sell treasury products. The role involves delivering customized treasury solutions to SME clients, addressing their foreign exchange, hedging, and investment needs while increasing revenue, deepening client relationships, and expanding the bank’s market share.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Business Development and Client Growth
-
Build and maintain a strong SME client base by developing relationships with key decision-makers in line with business targets and budgets.

Liaise with Lending (Credit) and Transaction Banking (SME) units regarding FX-related client needs.
-
Market treasury products such as Spot, Forward, and Swap contracts to drive turnover and profitability.
-
Enhance SME penetration in foreign exchange and treasury solutions.
-
Maintain high customer service standards to grow market share and expand the client base.
-
Contribute to liability growth by engaging SME clients interested in placing deposits.
-
Promote and migrate customers to the EazzyFX platform and enhance e-channel utilization.
-
Serve as the main contact point for SME treasury solutions.
2. Market Awareness and Deal Execution
-
Stay informed about market trends, competitor strategies, and economic developments.
-
Monitor competitor product offerings and marketing initiatives.
-
Execute FX transactions (currency purchases and sales) with clients via recorded phone and email channels.
3. Reporting and Performance
-
Submit weekly performance reports detailing client growth, transaction volumes, and portfolio profitability.
4. Customer Service
-
Address client queries promptly and ensure customer satisfaction.
-
Uphold a professional service approach to strengthen the bank’s reputation.
5. Compliance and Risk Management
-
Adhere to all internal controls, regulatory requirements, and Group policies.
-
Ensure compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC requirements.
-
Understand and manage operational, market, reputational, and sales risks.
-
Comply with the ACI Code of Conduct.
6. Additional Responsibilities
-
Train and mentor dealers and bank staff on FX, money market, and fixed income products.
-
Deputize the SME Sales Manager when required.
-
Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
-
ACI Dealing Certificate (mandatory).
-
Master’s degree (added advantage).
-
Minimum of 4 years’ relevant working experience.
Key Skills and Competencies
-
Strong knowledge of treasury policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
-
Understanding of interest rate risk management (structural and behavioral analysis).
-
Knowledge of liquidity, funding, and capital risk management.
-
Solid understanding of financial markets and macroeconomic fundamentals.
-
Familiarity with treasury, retail, corporate, and capital market products.
-
Advanced Excel proficiency.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
