CCBRT is strongly committed to preventing lifelong disabilities and is actively engaged in Maternal and Newborn Health Care (MNHC), including obstetric fistula repair. Its Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral centre for high-risk and emergency deliveries in Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.
Role Purpose
To strengthen the Nursing Department, CCBRT is seeking dynamic and experienced Assistant Nursing Officers (Health Volunteers) to provide professional clinical nursing care within assigned areas (OPD, IPD, or OTD).
Key Responsibilities

Provide quality nursing care in compliance with safety regulations and standards while maintaining patient dignity at all times

Prepare patients before consultation or surgical procedures
-
Assist doctors during examinations and surgical procedures
-
Translate between Kiswahili and English where language barriers exist

Communicate sensitive medical information and provide patient counselling
-
Perform clinical procedures as required
-
Maintain accurate and complete patient records
-
Manage and control patient flow within clinical areas

Candidate Requirements

Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery

Valid registration and licence from the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council

Good communication skills in both English and Kiswahili

Flexible, proactive, able to multitask, and eager to learn
2. Health Volunteer – Medical Attendant (10 Posts)

Role Purpose
CCBRT is also seeking qualified and motivated Medical Attendants (Health Volunteers) to support clinicians in assigned areas (OPD, IPD, or OTD) and ensure efficient patient care services.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure all working tools are available and in good condition
-
Direct patients and relatives appropriately
-
Assist in preparing patients before consultation or procedures
-
Communicate effectively with doctors and other healthcare staff
-
Support patient flow management in clinical areas
-
Transport patients, equipment, and supplies between units
-
Verify and transport laboratory specimens
-
Maintain a clean, calm, and comfortable environment for patients
-
Conduct scheduled weekly and monthly cleaning activities

Candidate Requirements

Form IV Certificate plus one-year basic nursing training from a government-recognized institution

Minimum of one (1) year working experience

Computer literacy
