Job Vacancies at Mwenge Catholic University February 2026 MWENGE CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY – HEDARU CAMPUS COLLEGE (MWECAU-HCC)
Mwenge Catholic University–Hedaru Campus College (MWECAU-HCC) is a newly established campus of Mwenge Catholic University. The College aims to train confident, competent, and self-motivated professionals capable of serving in diverse capacities within an ever-changing global society through well-designed, market-oriented academic programmes.
The College is located in Hedaru Township, approximately 80 meters from the Moshi–Tanga trunk road.
MWECAU-HCC plans to commence academic operations in the 2026/2027 Academic Year, initially offering the following degree programmes:

Bachelor of Science with Education (Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science)

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
In preparation for the commencement of these programmes, Mwenge Catholic University–Hedaru Campus College invites applications from suitably qualified and competent candidates to fill the following academic positions:
1. Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer (Mathematics) – 3 Posts
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Conduct lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes;
-
Supervise field practical training for undergraduate students;
-
Mentor junior academic staff in relevant academic matters;
-
Participate in curriculum development and review;
-
Participate in the development and management of University projects;
-
Conduct research and disseminate research findings through publications and other scholarly forums;
-
Participate in community outreach services and promote industry linkages;
-
Participate in consultancy services;
-
Prepare teaching manuals and compendia;
-
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research projects;
-
Attend and organise workshops, conferences, and symposia; and
-
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authorities.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must be holders of a PhD or Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum GPA of 4.0 out of 5, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 5 from a recognised institution of higher learning. Prior teaching experience in higher learning institutions will be an added advantage.

2. Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer (Computer Science) – 8 Posts
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties are similar to those outlined under the Mathematics position and include teaching, supervision, research, curriculum development, community engagement, consultancy, and other related academic responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must hold a PhD or Master’s Degree in Computer Science with a minimum GPA of 4.0 out of 5, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 5 from a recognised institution of higher learning. Teaching experience at university level will be an added advantage.

3. Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer (Physics) – 3 Posts
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching, supervision of students, research, curriculum development, participation in University projects, community outreach, consultancy services, and other academic duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess a PhD or Master’s Degree in Physics with a minimum GPA of 4.0 out of 5, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 5 from a recognised institution of higher learning. Experience in teaching at higher learning institutions will be an added advantage.
