Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure students’ safety, health, and well-being
- Guide students to follow school rules, routines, and study schedules
- Organize extracurricular activities and foster a positive boarding environment
- Ensure students maintain discipline, cleanliness, and punctuality
- Enforce child protection and safeguarding policies
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
- Serve as a role model through discipline, care, and professionalism
Requirements
- Tanzanian with a minimum Diploma (as listed above)
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role (Boarding Parent/Matron)
- Strong empathy and understanding of children’s needs
- Excellent communication skills in English
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Willingness to work overnight and weekends
- Ability to adapt to a Catholic school environment
- Minimum age: 35 years
- Ability to handle and report safeguarding issues professionally
