Key Responsibilities

Supervise and ensure students’ safety, health, and well-being
Guide students to follow school rules, routines, and study schedules
Organize extracurricular activities and foster a positive boarding environment
Ensure students maintain discipline, cleanliness, and punctuality
Enforce child protection and safeguarding policies
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Serve as a role model through discipline, care, and professionalism

Requirements

Tanzanian with a minimum Diploma (as listed above)
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role (Boarding Parent/Matron)
Strong empathy and understanding of children’s needs
Excellent communication skills in English
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Willingness to work overnight and weekends
Ability to adapt to a Catholic school environment
Minimum age: 35 years
Ability to handle and report safeguarding issues professionally
