The University of Iringa invites applications from suitably qualified, competent, and motivated individuals to fill the following academic positions.

1. Assistant Lecturer – Human Resource Management (1 Post)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Human Resource Management from recognized institutions.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s level and 4.0 at Master’s level.
  • Academic specialization must be consistent from undergraduate to postgraduate studies.

2. Assistant Lecturer – Marketing (3 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Marketing from recognized institutions.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s level and 4.0 at Master’s level.
  • Consistent academic specialization from undergraduate to postgraduate levels.

3. Assistant Lecturer – Procurement and Supply Chain Management (5 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from recognized institutions.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s level and 4.0 at Master’s level.
  • Consistent academic progression in the relevant field.

4. Assistant Lecturer – Accounting and Finance (3 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Accounting and Finance from recognized institutions.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s level and 4.0 at Master’s level.
  • Consistent academic specialization from undergraduate to postgraduate levels.

5. Assistant Lecturer – Economics and Finance (2 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Economics and Finance, Applied Economics, or Business Economics.
  • Master’s Degree in Economics, Financial Economics, Applied Economics, Development Economics, or Economics and Finance.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s level and 4.0 at Master’s level.
  • Consistent academic progression in the relevant field.

6. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Finance (4 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD Degrees in Finance from recognized institutions.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s level and 4.0 at Master’s level.
  • Consistent academic progression in Finance.
  • University teaching experience, research publications, and consultancy experience will be an added advantage.

7. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Human Resource Management (4 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD Degrees in Human Resource Management.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s level and 4.0 at Master’s level.
  • Consistent academic specialization.
  • Teaching, research, and consultancy experience will be an added advantage.

8. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Procurement and Supply Chain Management (4 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD Degrees in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s level and 4.0 at Master’s level.
  • Consistent academic progression.
  • Relevant teaching, research, and consultancy experience will be an added advantage.

9. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Marketing (4 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD Degrees in Marketing.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s level and 4.0 at Master’s level.
  • Consistent academic specialization.
  • Teaching experience, scholarly publications, and consultancy involvement will be an added advantage.

10. Assistant Lecturer – Journalism (2 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Journalism or Mass Communication.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 at Bachelor’s level and 4.0 at Master’s level.
  • Consistent academic specialization from undergraduate to postgraduate studies.

11. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Journalism (2 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in Journalism or Mass Communication.
  • Master’s Degree in Journalism or Communication with a GPA of 4.0 and above.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a GPA of 3.5 and above.
  • Degrees must be obtained from recognized universities.

12. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Cultural Anthropology and Tourism (2 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in Wildlife Management, Protected Areas Management, or Tourism Management.
  • Master’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology and Tourism with a GPA of 4.0 and above.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a GPA of 3.5 and above.

13. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Community Development (1 Post)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in Community Development, Protected Areas Management, or Project Planning and Management.
  • Master’s Degree in Community Development with a GPA of 4.0 and above.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a GPA of 3.5 and above.

14. Assistant Lecturer – Linguistics (2 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Linguistics with a GPA of 4.0 and above.
  • Bachelor’s Degree specializing in English or Linguistics with a GPA of 3.5 and above.

15. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Counselling Psychology (3 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in Counselling Psychology or Educational Psychology.
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology with a GPA of 4.0 and above.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a GPA of 3.5 and above.

16. Assistant Lecturer – Information Technology (3 Posts)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with a GPA of 4.0 and above.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a GPA of 3.5 and above.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

For Assistant Lecturer Positions

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Ability to teach undergraduate students effectively.
  • Capacity to assist in academic and applied research activities.
  • Ability to participate in consultancy and community outreach activities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Additional Requirement for Economics and Finance-related Fields:
Applicants must demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills.
