Job Overview
People’s Bank of Zanzibar Limited (PBZ), a fully government-owned commercial bank under the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, has announced new job opportunities for qualified Tanzanian youth. The bank is seeking to recruit 24 Sales Officers on a contract basis to strengthen its marketing and customer outreach operations across Tanzania.
PBZ continues to expand its footprint by delivering reliable and customer-focused financial services across Zanzibar and Mainland Tanzania.
Position Details

Work Stations
Successful candidates will be deployed to PBZ branches in the following regions:
- Dar es Salaam – 6 positions
- Mtwara – 3 positions
- Dodoma – 3 positions
- Mbeya – 3 positions
- Mwanza – 3 positions
- Arusha – 3 positions
- Morogoro – 3 positions
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and market PBZ banking products and services to both new and existing customers.
- Mobilize customers to open and actively use PBZ accounts and services.
- Provide accurate product information and ensure excellent customer experience.
- Participate in marketing campaigns and field sales activities.
- Meet assigned sales targets and submit timely performance reports.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Age limit: Not above 35 years.
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Marketing
- Business Administration
- Accounting
- Economics
- Banking & Finance
- Insurance
- Public Relations or related disciplines
- Must possess a valid CV and Birth Certificate.
Additional Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, and target-driven.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work extended hours when needed.
- Willingness to be posted anywhere in Tanzania as assigned.
