2.1 LABORATORY ASSISTANT II – 17 POSTS
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare simple laboratory reagents.
- Clean laboratory apparatus and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, tables, sinks, and coats.
- Dust bookshelves and clean simple machines and equipment.
- Request cleaning materials when needed.
- Assist in preparing samples for testing.
- Follow and implement laboratory safety procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of a Form IV Certificate plus:
- Certificate / Trade Test Grade I or II / NVA Level II or III
- In Laboratory Science and Technology or Laboratory Assistant course
- From a recognized institution
Salary Scale
- TBSS 2
2.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER II (CHEMISTRY) – 2 POSTS
Duties and Responsibilities
- Study and apply principles of inspection, quality management, and certification.
- Implement laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
- Conduct analysis of samples as assigned.
- Provide quality assurance support to industries.
- Implement certification scheme regulations.
- Conduct training, consultancy, and research in quality assurance.
- Participate in development and review of quality systems.
- Verify supplies and services.
- Carry out corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper functioning and safety of laboratory equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Salary Scale
- TBSS 4

- Must be Tanzanian citizen, age not above 45 years
