The Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, on behalf of the National Audit Office (NAOT), invites applications from qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill a total of 142 vacant positions as detailed below.
NATIONAL AUDIT OFFICE (NAOT)
1.0 AUDITOR II – 121 POSTS
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Participate in the preparation and implementation of audit programmes;
ii. Participate in the preparation of quarterly audit reports and submit them to the supervisor;
iii. Examine payment vouchers, receipts, and bank accounts;
iv. Review internal control systems and prepare audit reports and queries;
v. Conduct surprise cash audits and prepare audit reports and queries;
vi. Implement NAOT audit guidelines;
vii. Liaise with auditees to discuss issues affecting audit progress;
viii. Audit expenditure, development projects, deposits, agencies, funds, special projects, and government revenue;
ix. Assess work plans and prepare necessary revisions for submission to the supervisor;
x. Prepare audit queries, audit letters, and annual audit reports; and
xi. Perform any other duties related to the profession as assigned by the supervisor.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Arts with specialization in Accounting, or Bachelor of Accounting with Information Technology, or Bachelor of Accounting and Finance, or Bachelor of Public Sector Accounting and Finance from recognized institutions.

2.0 INFORMATION OFFICER II – GRAPHIC DESIGN – 1 POST
2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Manage digital communication systems including websites and social media;
ii. Monitor and analyze news related to NAOT;
iii. Capture and edit still and motion pictures for internal and external communication;
iv. Design graphics and illustrations for audit reports, stakeholder reports, and exhibitions;
v. Participate in digital communication campaigns;
vi. Maintain a creative and communication database; and
vii. Perform other related duties as assigned.
2.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Technology or Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from recognized institutions.
2.3 SALARY SCALE

3.0 INFORMATION OFFICER II – JOURNALISM – 1 POST
3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Collect and write news articles;
ii. Capture still and motion pictures;
iii. Prepare exhibition photographs;
iv. Manage photo archives and library references;
v. Prepare newsletters and banners;
vi. Collect news-related statistics;
vii. Collect magazines and brochures; and
viii. Perform other related duties as assigned.
3.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Arts in Journalism or Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from recognized institutions.

Note:
For all professional Auditor II posts (Items 4–19), duties generally include:

Identifying audit areas and maintaining audit records;

Preparing audit work plans;

Collecting and managing audit data;

Participating in feasibility studies and preliminary research;

Analyzing data and preparing draft audit reports; and
-
Performing any other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in the specified field from recognized institutions, with registration to the respective professional regulatory bodies (ERB, AQRB, VCT, PC, etc.), where applicable.
