UDOM is located approximately 8 kilometres east of Dodoma City Centre and is easily accessible by public transport. 3.1 Tutorial Assistant – Social Work (1 Post)
Department: Sociology and Anthropology
Qualifications:

Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (3 years) with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 from a recognized university.

3.2 Tutorial Assistant – Fine Arts and Design (1 Post)
Department: Arts and Media Studies
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Design, Fine Arts and Design, or Fine and Performing Arts with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5.

3.3 Assistant Lecturer – Political Science (1 Post)
Department: Political Science and Public Administration
Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Political Science or International Relations with a minimum GPA of 4.0 out of 5; and

Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science or International Relations with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5.

3.4 Tutorial Assistant – Disaster Risk Management (1 Post)
Department: Geography and Environmental Studies
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Disaster Risk Management, Environmental Disaster Management, or Disaster Management with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5.

3.5 Assistant Lecturer – Kiswahili (1 Post)
Department: Kiswahili
Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Kiswahili, Kiswahili Linguistics, or Translation and Interpretation with a minimum GPA of 4.0 out of 5; and

Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5.

3.6 Tutorial Assistant – Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (1 Post)
Department: Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in Telecommunication, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 and a B+ in relevant subjects.

4.0 Duties and Responsibilities (General)
For Tutorial Assistant Positions:
-
To undergo Master’s Degree training;
-
To attend induction courses in pedagogical skills;
-
To understudy senior academic staff;
-
To conduct tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions;
-
To assist in research, consultancy, and outreach activities;
-
To perform any other related duties as assigned by the University.
For Assistant Lecturer Positions:
-
To conduct lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practicals;
-
To carry out and publish research;
-
To participate in consultancies and community services;
-
To attend academic workshops, conferences, and symposia;
-
To support students academically and professionally;
-
To perform any other duties assigned by relevant authorities.
5.0 General Conditions

Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged not more than 45 years.
