Job Vacancies at Ngorongoro District Council December 2025
The Chief Executive Director of Ngorongoro District Council invites Tanzanians with the required qualifications to apply for fourteen (14) job vacancies in this Council after receiving approval from the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, according to the following breakdown:
1.0 RECORDS ASSISTANT GRADE II – 3 POSTS
1.0.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Listing incoming letters in the incoming correspondence register.
ii. Listing outgoing letters in the outgoing correspondence register.
iii. Distributing files to action officers.
iv. Receiving files returned to the registry from officers.
v. Searching for records/documents/files required by officers.
vi. Returning files to shelves/filing cabinets or any other storage location.
vii. Monitoring the movement of files within the Institution (file tracking).
1.0.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must have a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV) or Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (Form VI) with a Diploma or NTA Level 6 in Records Management from a recognized institution, with computer skills.

1.1 DRIVER GRADE II – 6 POSTS
1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after the trip to identify its safety condition.
ii. Transporting staff on official duties.
iii. Performing minor vehicle repairs.
iv. Collecting and distributing various documents.
v. Maintaining and recording all trips in the logbook.
vi. Cleaning the vehicle.
vii. Performing any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
1.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have a Form IV Certificate and a Class E or C driving license, with at least one (1) year of driving experience without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them for the respective classes. Applicants must have attended Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or any other government-recognized institution.

1.2 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 5 POSTS
1.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Typing letters, reports, and both ordinary and confidential documents.
ii. Receiving visitors, assessing their needs, and directing them to appropriate offices.
iii. Keeping records of events, appointments, visitors, meeting dates, the boss’s travels, and other work schedules.
iv. Searching for files and documents needed for work execution.
v. Receiving and distributing files to the respective officers within Departments and Units.
vi. Collecting, keeping, and returning files and documents to appropriate storage areas.
vii. Preparing minutes and making arrangements for various meetings.
viii. Preparing a list of required office supplies.
1.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have completed Form Four or Form Six with a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or NTA Level 6 in Secretarial Studies. They must also have passed shorthand in Kiswahili and English at 100 words per minute and be proficient in office computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and Publisher from a government-recognized institution.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must clearly state their disability in the Recruitment Portal for the information of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat.
iii. All applicants must attach detailed Curriculum Vitae with active contact information and email address and names of three reliable referees.
iv. All applications must be accompanied by verified copies (by an Advocate/Lawyer) of academic and professional certificates, including Form IV and VI certificates, Postgraduate, Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, Certificates, Computer Certificates, and Professional Certificates from respective Boards.
v. Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of Results, and Form IV and VI results slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
vi. Applicants who studied abroad must ensure their certificates are verified and approved by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, NACTE).
vii. Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless they have approval from the Chief Secretary.
viii. Applicants currently employed in entry-level positions within the Public Service should not apply, and must observe the guidelines in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.
ix. Submission of forged documents will lead to legal action.
x. Driver II applicants with Class E or C licenses must attach certificates of driver training that qualified them for the respective classes.
xi. Applicants with different names must attach a Deed Poll.
