514 Job Vacancies at UTUMISHI December 2025 The Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, on behalf of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, MDAs & LGAs, the Prison Service, and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, invites job applications from Tanzanians with qualifications and ability to fill 514 vacancies as specified in this announcement:
1.0 FISH TECHNOLOGIST II – 3 Posts
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Provide advice on preparation, processing, drying, and preservation of fish and fishery products;
ii. Inspect and supervise the quality of fishery products and seaweed in accordance with national and international standards;
iii. Supervise and advise on regulations regarding fish and seaweed quality control;
iv. Control quality of fish at landing sites, markets, factories, and warehouses;
v. Ensure cleanliness at fish and seaweed receiving areas;
vi. Inspect processing factories, fish product warehouses, and transportation vessels in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards;
vii. Verify various documents related to the production and transportation of fishery products and seaweed;
viii. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Unit Head.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Fish Technology; Marine Biology and Applied Microbiology; Fisheries Sciences and Microbiology (University of Dar es Salaam) or Food Technology and Microbiology (Sokoine University of Agriculture), or equivalent qualifications recognized by the Government.

1.0 VETERINARY OFFICER II – 19 Posts
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Provide animal health services;
ii. Conduct livestock disease investigations according to the law;
iii. Prepare and supervise plans to prevent, control, and eradicate animal diseases;
iv. Supervise animal rights and welfare;
v. Participate in wildlife disease investigations;
vi. Coordinate and supervise compliance with disease regulations, livestock inspections, livestock products, and livestock inputs;
vii. Coordinate and supervise abattoir hygiene and meat inspection;
viii. Prepare livestock health reports for the area;
ix. Perform any related duties assigned by the supervisor.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from SUA or any recognized institution, with registration by the Tanzania Veterinary Council.

2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Conduct research under the supervision of a Senior Research Officer;
ii. Prepare and maintain research records;
iii. Assist in seminars and livestock exhibitions;
iv. Assist in preparing research proposals;
v. Perform other related duties.
2.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from SUA or equivalent.

3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Provide extension services on livestock development;
ii. Treat livestock and report diseases, treatments, and nutrition;
iii. Supervise Livestock Attendants;
iv. Keep livestock data and records;
v. Inspect livestock product quality;
vi. Supervise animal welfare;
vii. Perform other related duties.
3.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Form Four or Six graduates with a Certificate in Animal Health and Production (NTA Level 5) from LITA or equivalent.

1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Plan, code, and test programs;
ii. Debug programs;

1.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, ICT, or related field.

2.0 RADIOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST II – RADIOLOGY – 70 Posts
2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Conduct X-ray examinations for referred patients;
ii. Maintain radiology machines and equipment;
iii. Check X-ray images for diagnostic quality;
iv. Keep patient images until results are delivered;
v. Supervise junior staff;
vi. Provide advice on radiology and radiation matters;
vii. Prepare and sterilize diagnostic equipment;
viii. Provide basic training to assigned staff;
ix. Perform other related duties.
2.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in Radiology Technology from a recognized institution with registration by the Tanzania Radiation Professionals Council.
2.3 SALARY SCALE

3.0 OPTOMETRIST TECHNOLOGIST II – 20 Posts
3.1 DUTIES
i. Conduct vision tests and treatment;
ii. Refer patients requiring higher expertise;
iii. Provide counselling;
iv. Maintain and repair eye equipment;
v. Make and repair all types of eyeglasses;
vi. Perform related duties.
3.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in Optometry Technology, registered by the Optometry Council.
3.3 SALARY SCALE
As per Government scale.
4.0 DENTAL TECHNOLOGIST II – 10 Posts
4.1 DUTIES
i. Take dental impressions and process them;
ii. Maintain dental clinic machines and lab equipment;
iii. Keep dental patient records;
iv. Design and fabricate dentures and jaw prosthetics;
v. Perform related duties.
4.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in Dental Technology, registered by the Oral and Dental Health Council.

5.0 ICT OFFICER II (SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR) – 40 Posts
5.1 DUTIES
i. Improve, monitor, supervise data storage challenges;
ii. Ensure security, integrity, and preservation of records and documents;
