The Higher Education Student Loans Board (HESLB) today, Friday, October 24, 2025, has issued the first phase of loan planning and grants for a total of 135,240 students.

This number includes the following students:

1. i. 40,952 undergraduate students and 5,342 diploma students were assigned loans amounting to TZS. 152 billion.
2. ii. 615 Samia Scholarship students who were allocated a subsidy amounting to TZS. 3.3 billion.
3. iii. 88,331 students who are continuing their studies have been allocated loans amounting to TZS. 271.2 billion after passing their exams of the previous year.

The Credit Board will continue to issue other installments of loans and scholarships as it receives confirmation of admission for first-year students and results for continuing students. In addition, the Credit Board reminds applicants for loans and grants to continue monitoring their application information through ‘SIPA’ while the analysis and planning procedures for loans and grants continue.
