HERE WE GO!!!!!!Neo Maema has officially left Mamelodi Sundowns and is  join Tanzania Premier League side Simba SC. His departure from Mamelodi Sundowns was announced on Friday, August 15, 2025, after a four-year tenure with the club and his move to Simba SC is Done and the necessary documents, including ITCs and permits, have been finalized, making him legally a Simba SC player . An official announcement from Simba SC is alredy announced today August 21 2025 following South Africa’s elimination from the 2024 CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) . At Simba SC, Maema will reunite with former Sundowns teammate Rushine De Reuck and play under South African coach Fadlu Davids .

Maema began his professional career at Bloemfontein Celtic at the age of 22, making 60 appearances and scoring 3 goals before joining Mamelodi Sundowns in the summer of 2021 on a five-year deal . During his time with Mamelodi Sundowns, he played in 120 matches across all competitions . His period at the club was highly successful, marked by four league titles, a Nedbank Cup, an MTN8, and an African Football League crown . Maema also captained South Africa’s home-based national team at the 2024 CAF African Nations Championship . His market value is estimated at €964k .
