2460 SGR Job Vacancies Tanzania August 2025

Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Railway Corporation expects to employ 2,460 workers in the International Standard Railway (SGR) project for two sections from Dar es Salaam to Makutopora, Dodoma. However, the parts of the railway construction that have been completed are the first from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro, Morogoro to Dodoma and the ongoing one from Dodoma to Tabora.

The information released today, Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in the pages of TRC social networks, has explained that the jobs are far from more than 115,000 jobs that are already from the contractor in the first to sixth pieces. In those 2,460 jobs, its implementation is in phases where in the financial year 2024/2025 more than 500 employees have already been hired. It has been explained that this financial year 2025/2026 the expectation is to hire 272 employees and TRC will continue to hire until it reaches 2,460 employees. “While the implementation of the organization’s official employment continues, a total of 115,000 jobs from the contractor have benefited 115,000 Tanzanians, including young people in the seventh grade and other levels of education in various fields.”
