The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS), on behalf of the Office of the Treasury Registrar (OTR), has officially announced 15 employment opportunities for qualified Tanzanian professionals. The vacancies are open to eligible candidates with relevant academic qualifications and professional experience in finance, accounting, economics, risk management, and management services.

Available Job Vacancies

1. Finance Management Officer I – 4 Posts

Salary Scale: TRSS 5.1

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends and investment portfolios.
  • Prepare Medium-Term Expenditure Frameworks (MTEF).
  • Conduct post-budget performance analysis.
  • Analyze corporate annual plans and budgets.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Support strategic planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Assist in financial analysis, dividend policy development, and non-tax revenue management.
  • Perform other official duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration (Finance), Actuarial Science, Business Information, or related fields from a recognized institution.
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience.

2. Senior Finance Management Officer – 4 Posts

Salary Scale: TRSS 6.1

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and monitor performance contracts.
  • Review strategic plans, business plans, and budgets.
  • Conduct financial analysis and investment evaluations.
  • Coordinate debt, loans, and guarantees management.
  • Monitor commercial and non-commercial entities.
  • Review organizational structures and staff regulations.
  • Prepare proposals for Board appointments and staff welfare improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration (Finance), Actuarial Science, Business Information, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience.

3. Senior Economist – 2 Posts

Salary Scale: TRSS 6.1

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Medium-Term Expenditure Frameworks.
  • Coordinate corporate plans and investment strategies.
  • Evaluate policy papers and project proposals.
  • Monitor institutional performance.
  • Coordinate parliamentary matters.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

4. Senior Risk Management Officer – 1 Post

Salary Scale: TRSS 6.1

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess organizational risks.
  • Monitor risk management programs.
  • Build organizational risk awareness.
  • Prepare periodic risk management reports.
  • Develop risk management policies.
  • Support budget preparation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Official Statistics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience.

5. Senior Management Analyst – 1 Post

Salary Scale: TRSS 6.1

Key Responsibilities

  • Review organizational structures and staff regulations.
  • Prepare HR policies and staff welfare guidelines.
  • Coordinate staff performance management systems.
  • Monitor implementation of approved organizational reforms.
  • Prepare Board appointment proposals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce (Human Resource Management), or related field.
  • Master’s Degree related to the Bachelor’s qualification.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

6. Accountant I – 3 Posts

Salary Scale: TRSS 6.1

Key Responsibilities

  • Record financial transactions.
  • Maintain accounting records and asset registers.
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports.
  • Conduct cost analysis.
  • Monitor non-tax revenue.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Support investment fund analysis and financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration (Accountancy/Finance).
  • Must be a CPA (T), ACCA, or equivalent qualification recognized by NBAA.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.

General Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania.
  • Be 45 years of age or below.
  • Possess qualifications from recognized institutions.
  • Attach certified academic certificates and transcripts.
  • Upload a recent passport-size photograph.
  • Provide three reputable referees.
  • Ensure foreign qualifications are recognized by TCU, NECTA, or NACTVET where applicable.
  • Submit a signed application letter in either English or Swahili.
