Job Vacancies at Nsimbo District Council June 2026The Executive Director of Nsimbo District Council invites applications from qualified and competent Tanzanian citizens to fill the following vacant positions:
1.0 DRIVER II – 5 POSTS
1.1 Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure its roadworthiness and safety;
ii. Transporting government employees to various official duty stations;
iii. Carrying out minor vehicle maintenance and repairs;
iv. Recording and maintaining all travel information in the vehicle logbook;
v. Collecting and delivering official documents and correspondence; and
vi. Maintaining cleanliness and proper condition of the vehicle at all times.
1.2 Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess:
- A Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE/Form IV);
- A valid Class E or Class C Driving License;
- At least one (1) year of driving experience without causing any road accident;
- Relevant certificates qualifying them for the respective driving license classes; and
- A Basic Driving Course Certificate obtained from VETA or any other Government-recognized institution.
1.3 Salary Scale

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
- All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania and must not be above 45 years of age.
For positions within Military Institutions:
- Applicants for non-degree positions must not exceed 25 years of age.
- Applicants for degree positions must not exceed 30 years of age.

- All applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by an Advocate or Attorney.
- Public servants currently employed in the Public Service are not eligible to apply and should adhere to the directives contained in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.
- Applications must be accompanied by certified copies of relevant academic and professional certificates, including:
- Postgraduate Degree, Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, and Certificate qualifications;
- Professional certificates from relevant professional boards;
- Birth Certificate.
- The following documents will not be accepted:
- Testimonials;
- Provisional Results;
- Statements of Results;
- Form IV and Form VI Result Slips.
- Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure that their academic qualifications are verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and/or NACTVET). Applicants for positions requiring GPA qualifications must also attach a GPA equivalency certificate issued by TCU.
- Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless they possess special authorization from the Chief Secretary.
- Applicants who submit forged information or documents will be subjected to legal action.
- The deadline for submitting applications is 08 June 2026.
