Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC) is located at the foothills of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Established in March 1971 by the Good Samaritan Foundation, the Centre serves as a zonal referral hospital for over 15 million people in Northern Tanzania.

KCMC is a large healthcare complex with over 600 beds and serves hundreds of outpatients and visitors daily. The Centre employs more than 1,000 staff. KCMC invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacant positions:


1. Nursing Officer II – (10 Positions)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Holder of a Degree or BSc in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with the Nurses and Midwifery Council of Tanzania.
  • Must possess a valid practicing license.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide health education to patients and their relatives.
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally.
  • Ensure all prescribed instructions are properly executed.
  • Set and communicate nursing care standards in line with hospital policies.
  • Train nursing students and other healthcare staff.
  • Conduct home visits and offer primary healthcare advice.
  • Utilize hospital management information systems in daily operations.
  • Ensure adherence to treatment manuals and procedures.
  • Supervise subordinate staff.
  • Verify patient billing and costing details.
  • Maintain hospital inventory and monitor consumables usage.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly patient progress reports.
  • Promote a harmonious working environment.
  • Uphold professional discipline and nursing ethics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Remuneration:
Attractive salary package as per Government scale TGHS C.


2. Assistant Nursing Officer II – (20 Positions)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Holder of a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with the Nurses and Midwifery Council of Tanzania.
  • Must possess a valid practicing license.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care.
  • Support patients and their families for improved well-being.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Involve patients and relatives in care and rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and report losses or damages.
  • Keep staff records and manage leave schedules.
  • Conduct ward rounds and implement instructions.
  • Manage drug records, ensuring validity and proper storage.
  • Support adoption of new nursing practices and research.
  • Demonstrate compassion, faithfulness, and professionalism.
  • Engage in continuous professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Remuneration:
Attractive salary package as per Government scale TGHS B.
