Tangazo la Fursa ya Mikopo Mfuko wa Maendeleo ya Vijana 2026
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FUND LOAN OPPORTUNITY
The Youth Development Fund has been established with the aim of economically empowering young people by providing them with capital to start or expand various activities in production, business, and service delivery. Through this program, the Government aims to increase youth employment, promote entrepreneurship, and stimulate national economic growth.
The President’s Office – Youth Development (PO–YD) is pleased to announce to all youth in the country that the application window for loans under the TZS 200 Billion Program, a commitment by Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, for youth, women, and people with special needs, has officially been opened. All youth with projects or project ideas are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
i. Be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 and 35 years;
ii. Possess a National Identification Card (NIDA) or NIDA number;
iii. Have a recognized place of business approved by authorities (e.g., a market);
iv. Be a resident of the respective area and have a confirmation letter from Local Government/Village authorities;
v. Be an individual, a startup company, or a registered community group engaged in economic activities;
vi. Have a project/business proposal for which the loan is requested; and
vii. Have a bank account or a registered mobile number in the applicant’s name.
Application Procedure
Applicants must submit a loan application letter indicating:
i. Name of the individual or group;
ii. Type of proposed project;
iii. Amount of loan requested; and
iv. Location where the project will be implemented.
Required Attachments
Applicants must attach the following documents:
i. A project proposal not exceeding five (5) pages;
ii. National ID or NIDA number / Voter ID;
iii. Tax Identification Number (TIN);
iv. Business license (for ongoing businesses);
v. Letter confirming business location from the Local Government/Village Chairperson;
vi. Two recent passport-size photos (taken within the last three months); and
vii. Meeting minutes signed by group members (for group applicants) indicating the agenda for loan application.
