Mbeya University of Science and Technology (MUST) was established following the transformation of the Mbeya Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) under the Universities Act No. 7 of 2005 and the Mbeya University of Science and Technology Charter of 2013. 1.0 ACADEMIC POSITIONS
1.1 Assistant Lecturer (Agribusiness) – 1 Post
Duty Station: MUST Rukwa Campus College
Remuneration: PUTS 2.1
Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Conduct lectures, tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate programmes;
-
Prepare and present case studies;
-
Conduct research and publish/disseminate findings;
-
Identify students with learning difficulties and provide academic support;
-
Participate in consultancy and community service activities under supervision;
-
Attend academic workshops, conferences, and symposia;
-
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the relevant authority.
Qualifications:

Holder of Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Agribusiness, Agribusiness and Management Technology, or Agricultural Economics;
-
Minimum GPA of 4.0 out of 5.0 at Master’s level and 3.8 out of 5.0 at Bachelor’s level;
-
Unclassified Master’s degree by thesis/research only may be considered if the applicant has a pass grade and at least two (2) publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
1.2 Assistant Lecturer (Mechanical Engineering) – 1 Post
Duty Station: MUST Rukwa Campus College
Remuneration: PUTS 2.1
Qualifications:

Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Technical Education in Mechanical Engineering;

Minimum GPA of 4.0 (Master’s) and 3.8 (Bachelor’s);
-
Unclassified Master’s degree by thesis/research only may be considered with at least two (2) peer-reviewed publications.

1.3 Tutorial Assistant (Procurement and Supply Chain Management) – 1 Post
Duty Station: MUST Rukwa Campus College
Remuneration: PUTS 1.1
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or Business Administration in Procurement and Supply Chain Management;

Minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5.0.
Duties:

Assist senior academic staff in teaching, research, and outreach activities;

Conduct tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions;
-
Perform other related duties as assigned.
1.4 Tutorial Assistant (Health Information Systems Management) – 1 Post

Bachelor’s Degree in Health Informatics, Health Systems Management, Health Information Science, or related fields;

Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering or related fields;
