Job Vacancies at Bank Of Tanzania March 2026 JOB VACANCIES AT THE BANK OF TANZANIA (BOT)

On behalf of the Bank of Tanzania (BOT), the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) invites applications from qualified, competent, self-motivated, and result-oriented Tanzanians with high integrity to fill eighty-three (83) vacant posts as described below.


1. SECURITY GUARD III – 13 POSTS

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Guard the Bank’s property against theft, intrusion, and unlawful acts.

  • Keep custody of Bank office keys.

  • Apprehend or evict violators using force where necessary.

  • Assist management in enforcing security regulations.

  • Provide escort services for Bank cargo and staff when handling sensitive duties.

  • Screen visitors entering or leaving Bank offices or residences.

  • Patrol Bank premises to ensure safety of staff and property.

  • Provide bodyguard services to Bank executives when required.

  • Record incidents in the Occurrence Book daily.

  • Respond to fire incidents and other emergencies.

  • Prevent violence or disturbances at Bank premises.

  • Control movement and parking of vehicles within Bank premises.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with passes in English and Kiswahili.

  • National Service Certificate from JKT/JKU with at least Grade “B” in behaviour and work competence, completed from 2023 onwards.

2. LEGAL OFFICER III – 2 POSTS

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on matters related to Bank operations.

  • Conduct investigations on workplace offences and prepare reports.

  • Follow up investigations conducted by law enforcement agencies.

  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations.

  • Prepare and review contracts and legal documents.

  • Represent the Bank in legal proceedings and negotiations.

  • Track and report the status of Bank court cases.

  • Conduct legal research and remain updated on legal changes affecting the Bank.

  • Provide inputs for preparation of reports, policies, and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) with Upper Second Class from a recognized institution.

  • Must be registered as an Advocate of the High Court.

3. PROGRAMMES COORDINATOR / INSTRUCTOR III – 1 POST

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach up to NTA Level 6 and assist in higher levels.

  • Administer examinations for NTA Level 6 students.

  • Participate in curriculum development.

  • Provide academic guidance and counselling to students.

  • Conduct research and consultancy activities.

  • Prepare learning materials and supervise field training.

  • Supervise junior staff.

  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or Economics with GPA 3.8 out of 5 or above.

4. PORTER III – 2 POSTS

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pack, load, and unload currency consignments in the Bank’s vault.

  • Carry and stack currency cargo and goods.

  • Transport currency to and from note counting units.

  • Stamp labels on banknote bundles and coin bags.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • CSEE with passes in English and Kiswahili.

  • National Service Certificate (JKT/JKU) with Grade B or above, completed from 2023 onwards.

5. COMPUTER ANALYST / PROGRAMMER III – 5 POSTS

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist users in preparing system requirement specifications.

  • Analyze system incident reports and change requests.

  • Plan, code, test, and debug programs.

  • Maintain system documentation and standards.

  • Participate in examination of financial institutions.

  • Develop software systems and perform testing.

  • Maintain backups and security settings.

  • Update web pages and manage multimedia tools.

  • Perform system analysis and recommend improvements.

  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or ICT with Upper Second Class.
